Team White Left No Doubt - They are the Champions

Game Three on Sunday was a bit like watching the movie Ground Day when Michael Keaton’s character kept re-living the same day over and over again. Team White repeated its performance from the day before with a crushing 7-1win in the final game of the U9 House league championship.  The series ended 2-1 for Team White.

First game of the playoffs is a nail biter.....

 The Shanghai Thunderbirds U9 House League playoff season got off to an exciting start this morning at the Champion’s rink with a 5-4 win for the Black team.   Lauren Palmer’s hat-trick goal with only four minutes left on the clock pushed the Black team into the lead and ultimately secured the victory for Coach Matt Bradley’s team. 

“Despite being short three of our regular players, I knew we would win - the momentum was there,” said an exuberant Bradley.  "These kids have shown a lot of determination and drive in the last month. After a sluggish few weeks, the tide has turned with a close game 4 and tie in game 5. Today we saw they have what it takes to win the championship.”

Blinded by the White

Determined to reclaim their lead, Team White stormed the ice at the Mercedes Benz arena this morning and didn’t let up during the hour of play. They crushed Team Black 7-1 in Game 2 of the House League U9 playoff series. It’s 1-1 heading into tomorrow’s final. 

“I may be heading to Bali, but I’m dreaming of a White Christmas,” said victorious Coach Magnus Tedestedt. “My boys were on fire this morning demonstrating to the crowd that they deserve to be on top of the podium - well, if in fact we had a podium.”
