Macs Lee
4 years with Shanghai Thunderbird was an amazing journey. It was an honor to play on this team and with the help of the coaching staff I have improved a lot on my hockey skills. I wasn’t enjoying playing ice hockey before I joined this team, but the atmosphere and the players around me affected me and I was able to have fun whenever in on the ice again. All the memories I made here was unforgettable. “Do the little things right, let the big things work.”

Ian Kwant
Hello, my name is Ian Kwant. I played for the Thunderbirds for three years and it was one of the most enjoyable and beneficial experiences of my living in China. The Thunderbirds program helped me to develop my skills not only as a hockey player, but as a teammate and friend.
Since I have returned to the US I have played three years of AAA hockey for Team Maryland in the Washington D.C. area, compiling a total of 45 points as a defenseman.
I have made the Southeastern District team both of the past two years, and just this past year was invited to participate in the USHL Combine and the Muskegon Lumberjack’s (USHL) tryout camp. This coming year I will be moving to the Detroit area and playing for the Little Caesar's AAA hockey program.
Although I am three years removed from the Thunderbirds, I still carry all the incredible memories and experiences that the team and coaches provided me with.
